Prior Named In Barbarians Squad
Current UQ Premier Grade player and former UQRA scholarship holder Ian Prior has been named in the Australian Barbarians squad set to play the QAS Reds Second XV at Ballymore on Saturday night.
It has been an epic rise to representative football for the 19 year old half-back who is currently embarking on his third year at the Club.
“I amd really excited about this opportunity,” Prior said.
“I worked really hard on my game last year, being on scholarship in the Academy. Playing Premier Grade for the Club as a colt was also a great experience and assisted me in taking my skills to the next level”.
Prior is also currently training in the extended Australian U20 squad, along with other UQ players Jono Lance, Aaron Chapman, Ben Evans, Luke Morahan, and Simon Morahan.
The Club would like to wish all players the best of luck in their coming representative programs.
