TRL Competition

The UQ Rugby Club’s pre-preseason will take the form of a touch competition in a similar format to the popular TRL (touch rugby league) which is played throughout Brisbane.

12 teams of 12-14 players have nominated for the competition including defending champs Team DUB, the formidable Old Boys, premiership winning Baa Baa’s and the heavily backed favourites Team Intensity who took out the Uni games 7’s comp earlier this year. Teams such as the Law boys and St Leo Old Boys (SLOBS) have also signed up to play even though they are not directly related to the Club which should bring a new level of competition to the UQ pre- preseason.  

Players will be able blow off the cobwebs and show an array of skills every Thursday night from early November up until Christmas.  The game times are 6:15pm, 7:00pm and 7:45pm and will be played on oval 6.  If you would like to be involved please contact Macka on 0409 382 563 but hurry as places as there are only limited places remaining.
